Where is Soltani Music School located?

Soltani Music School is at 102 East Thatcher Street, Edmond, Oklahoma 73034, near downtown Edmond. We teach students from Edmond, Oklahoma City, Nichols Hills, Deer Creek and Guthrie.

What instruments do you teach?

We teach violin, viola, cello, fiddle, piano, guitar, ukulele, voice and flute, plus preschool music classes for our youngest students. Lessons are private and one-on-one with a dedicated teacher.

How long is a music lesson?

Private lessons at Soltani Music School are weekly and come in three lengths: half-hour, 45-minute and full-hour. We also offer weekly 45-minute group classes, plus the Edmond Homeschool Orchestra and Edmond Homeschool Choir.

How much do music lessons cost?

Tuition is one flat monthly price that covers all scheduled lessons and breaks. Private lessons are $150 per month for weekly half-hour lessons, $225 per month for weekly 45-minute lessons, and $300 per month for weekly full-hour lessons. Lessons with a teaching assistant are $135, $202 and $270 per month for the same lengths. Weekly 45-minute group classes are $115 per month, and the Edmond Homeschool Orchestra and Choir are $60 per month, half off for siblings.

Do I need to own an instrument to start?

No. We have instruments students can borrow during lessons and classes, though we highly recommend looking into a rental so students can practice at home.

What ages do you teach?

All ages and abilities, from preschoolers through adults. Adult beginners are welcome.

Do you teach the Suzuki method?

Yes. Several of our string teachers use the Suzuki method, and our practice app includes Suzuki listening tracks and play-alongs organized by book so students can hear their pieces every day.

Do students perform in recitals?

Yes. Students have regular opportunities to perform, including studio recitals, masterclasses and ensemble performances. Performing is encouraged but never required.

Is there an app for practicing at home?

Yes, and it is free for anyone to use at practice.soltanimusic.com. It includes a tuner, metronome, guided daily practice, Suzuki listening, sight-reading, recording for your teacher and music games. No account is required.
