Where are you located?
We're at 102 E Thatcher St, Edmond, OK 73034, right in downtown Edmond. Families come to us from all over the Oklahoma City metro, including Edmond, Oklahoma City, Nichols Hills, Deer Creek and Guthrie.
What instruments do you teach?
We teach violin, viola, cello, fiddle, piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, flute, oud and composition. For our youngest kiddos, we have preschool music classes. We also offer Muse Muscle, an injury-prevention method for musicians of any instrument, as well as the Soltani Music School Homeschool Orchestra and the Soltani Music School Homeschool Choir.
Private lessons are one-on-one, and we match every student with a teacher who fits them. We also have seasonal group classes.
How much is a trial lesson?
A trial lesson is $20. It's a real lesson with one of our teachers, matched to your instrument and age. It's the easiest way to test things out before signing up for regular lessons. Book one here.
What ages do you teach?
All ages and all levels! We teach everyone from preschoolers to adults.
Do you teach the Suzuki method?
Yes! Mr. Soltani is a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and several of our string teachers use elements of the Suzuki method as well.
Do students perform in recitals?
Yes! Every month there's a chance to perform, and it's included in tuition. That can be a recital, a masterclass, an ensemble concert, etc. Tuition also includes free tickets to community events and concerts.
Performing is always encouraged, but it's never required.
Do you have apps for practicing at home?
Yes! We have four free apps. Anyone can use them, whether you're a student here or not, and you don't need an account.
Practice (practice.soltanimusic.com): a tuner, a metronome, guided daily practice, Suzuki listening, sight-reading, music games, and a way to record yourself for your teacher.
Quill (quill.soltanimusic.com): write down the tune stuck in your head and hear it played back.
Stand (stand.soltanimusic.com): all your sheet music on your phone, so nothing gets left on the kitchen table.
Maestro (maestro.soltanimusic.com): hear the music, guess the composer, and discover old favorites along the way.
How long is a music lesson?
Private lessons are once a week, and you can choose 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Our seasonal group classes meet weekly for 45 minutes, and the Soltani Music School Homeschool Orchestra and Soltani Music School Homeschool Choir have 45-minute rehearsals.
By special request, we also offer 15-minute lessons. They're a great way to tag on a little extra time here or there, or to have a sibling join in on a lesson.
How much do music lessons cost?
Tuition is one flat monthly price. It covers every scheduled lesson, and our breaks are already built in, so it doesn't change with holidays or with how many weeks are in a month.
30-minute weekly private lesson: $150 a month ($135 with a teaching assistant)
45-minute weekly private lesson: $225 a month ($202.50 with a teaching assistant)
60-minute weekly private lesson: $300 a month ($270 with a teaching assistant)
45-minute weekly group class: $115 a month
Soltani Music School Homeschool Orchestra or Choir: $60 a month, half off for siblings
Your first month is prorated from the day you start.
Do I need to own an instrument to start?
Nope! Depending on what you're playing, we have instruments you can borrow during lessons and classes. We do highly recommend renting one, though, so you can practice at home.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm

How do I sign up for lessons?
Start at soltanimusic.com/sign-up. You can also call or text (405) 861-8932, or email info@soltanimusic.com. We'll match you with the right teacher for your instrument, age and schedule.
What happens if we miss a lesson?
No worries! If you let us know, or cancel through your parent portal, at least 24 hours ahead, you'll get a makeup credit. Makeups are scheduled within a week of the missed lesson. An online lesson or a substitute teacher can be an option too.
Lesson times are limited, so lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice can't be made up or refunded.
How do we stop lessons?
We'll be sad to see you go! We ask for 30 days' written notice, by email to info@soltanimusic.com or a text to (405) 861-8932. There's no withdrawal fee.
Do you accept Epic or Braintree funds?
Yes! We're an approved Epic Charter Schools vendor, and we accept Braintree funds too.
When you book, open "Pick your payment plan" above the calendar and switch it to Epic Charter School Funded or Braintree Funded. No card needed.
- Epic: we invoice Epic directly.
- Braintree: you submit a request in Braintree's ordering portal, and Braintree pays through your Soltani account.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes! Our scholarship fund helps families in need. A scholarship can cover up to the full cost of lessons or classes, and we review eligibility every year.
You can apply at soltanimusic.com/scholarships. We try to respond within a month.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes, for our homeschool programs and preschool music. Every additional child in the same program is half off. Just message us and we'll set it up. Private lessons don't have a sibling discount.
Do you have homeschool programs?
Yes! Both of our homeschool ensembles are $60 a month, with half off for siblings.
The Soltani Music School Homeschool Orchestra meets Mondays 2:00 to 2:45. Some experience is recommended.
The Soltani Music School Homeschool Choir meets Fridays 1:00 to 1:45. It's for all ages, and no experience is needed.
We also keep daytime private lesson times open for homeschool schedules.
Do you have classes for young children?
Yes! Preschool Music is a group class for our youngest kiddos. It runs in 4-week sessions for $90.
Can we do lessons every other week?
Yes, by special request, as long as the lesson isn't during our peak hours (weekdays 3:00 to 7:00 pm). Every-other-week lessons are half the monthly rate. Just ask us and we'll check with your teacher.
Do you offer online lessons?
Yes! We teach online lessons, and you can book them as your regular weekly lessons. They're also a great option when you can't make it in person.
What is Muse Muscle?
Muse Muscle is an injury-prevention method for musicians of any instrument. The exercises are done away from the instrument. They teach players to use their whole body, so they build strength, speed and endurance without overuse injuries. Ms. Yasaman, one of the method's developers, teaches it here.
