Cello Lessons in Edmond, OK
Cello lessons at our school in Downtown Edmond are for everyone, from small kiddos on quarter size instruments to adults picking it up for the first time. We start every new student with a $20 trial lesson so we can meet you, hear what you’re hoping for, and match you with the right teacher.
Lessons are one on one, once a week, in person or online. Our cello teachers use Suzuki with the youngest students and traditional methods as they grow, and we’re happy to help you find an instrument the right size. Families are always welcome to sit in.

The first thing we work on is sitting comfortably with the cello and drawing a good sound with a relaxed bow. We keep it simple on purpose. Once that feels natural, we add left hand shape, note reading, and rhythm, all inside pieces the student is playing rather than on paper.
From there it’s classical repertoire, chamber music, and songs the student asks for. Cellists get to play in our recitals and ensembles through the year, and every student gets our free practice app with a tuner, a metronome, and a daily plan from their teacher.
