Violin Lessons in Edmond, OK
We teach violin to kiddos and grown-ups here in Downtown Edmond. Some of our students are four and holding a bow for the first time. Some are adults who always wanted to learn and finally have the time. Both are welcome, and both start the same way, with a $20 trial lesson so we can meet you and find the right teacher.
Lessons are one on one, once a week, in person at the school or online. We use the Suzuki approach for our youngest students and traditional methods as they grow, and we mix the two when that works better for the student. Families are always welcome to sit in.

In the first lessons we work on holding the violin and the bow in a way that’s comfortable, and on making a good sound. That’s it. There’s no rush to read music on day one. Once the hands are relaxed and the sound is clear, reading and rhythm come along naturally, and we teach them inside real pieces rather than on worksheets.
From there it’s classical repertoire, fiddle tunes, and songs the student actually asks for. Everyone plays in our recitals during the year, and no one has to be perfect to do it. Every student also gets our free practice app with a tuner, a metronome, and a daily plan from their teacher.
