School Policies

Soltani Music School · Downtown Edmond

Welcome

Welcome to our Soltani Music School family! We are very delighted to share the love and joy of music with you. Through our lessons, we are entering into a wonderful relationship together that we look forward to fostering each week. At the Soltani Music School, we welcome families and students of all ages and abilities. We work to inspire creativity, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love and appreciation of music while growing friendships, strengthening families, and enriching our community. Please read these policies carefully.

We go by several names. “Soltani Music School,” “Soltani Music,” “Soltani Music LLC” and “the Music School” all mean the same business, and we use them interchangeably. So do our websites: soltanimusic.com and its subdomains, including practice.soltanimusic.com, quill.soltanimusic.com, stand.soltanimusic.com and maestro.soltanimusic.com, and the parent portal at soltanimusic.opus1.io.

One Easy Price, Hassle-Free Payments

One easy monthly price covers everything! Payments are set up through a secured, automatic billing system so that we can get right to the fun stuff each lesson or class. Payments are a flat-rate fee each month that covers all scheduled lessons and breaks. After initial setup of payment, all monthly charges will auto-draft on or around the 1st of each month.

Tuition is billed on a monthly basis as pre-payment for the current month’s lessons. A $25 late fee will be applied to all payments over 10 days past due. Pricing remains the same regardless of holidays, number of weeks in a given month, or number of lessons or classes attended.

Scheduled group classes are different. Our shorter class sessions, such as the summer sessions and preschool music, are paid for the session rather than month to month, and they end on their own when the session ends. Ongoing groups like the Soltani Music School Homeschool Orchestra and the Soltani Music School Homeschool Choir stay on monthly billing. The price and length of each session are shown when you book.

Registration & Tuition

Your lesson time(s) and payments recur indefinitely until proper cancellation notice is received, unless the student is enrolled in one of our shorter class sessions, which simply end when the session ends. Once payments are set up, students are responsible for updating payments through their parent portal at soltanimusic.opus1.io. Thirty days written notice to director, Ali Soltani, by email (info@soltanimusic.com) or text (405-861-8932) is required to drop from our program. Notice given to your teacher does not start the thirty days.

Payments must be set up through our parent portal at soltanimusic.opus1.io. Alternative forms of payment will not be accepted.

Tuition is paid to hold a scheduled spot in the school. If missing any amount of time, payment will still be required to hold a spot in the school; otherwise, a student will forfeit their time and will be placed at the end of the current waitlist until a spot is open. Spots will not be held without payment. During the summer, lessons can be put on hold for up to two months, as long as the returning month is prepaid.

Epic & Braintree Funds

We’re an approved Epic Charter Schools vendor, and we accept Braintree funds too. When you book, open “Pick your payment plan” above the calendar and switch it to Epic Charter School Funded or Braintree Funded. No card needed.

  • Epic: we invoice Epic directly.
  • Braintree: you submit a request in Braintree’s ordering portal, and Braintree pays through your Soltani account.

You can find step-by-step instructions on our Epic & Braintree Funds page.

Scholarships

Our scholarship fund helps families in need. A scholarship can cover up to the full cost of lessons or classes, and we review eligibility every year. You can apply at soltanimusic.com/scholarships. We try to respond within a month.

Yearly Calendar & Performances

A copy of Soltani Music School’s yearly calendar is always available online at soltanimusic.com/calendar. Breaks and time off are mostly based on the Edmond Public Schools calendar with a few exceptions including Summer. Soltani Music School lessons take place year-round. All time off is factored into monthly tuition.

Every month there’s a chance to perform, and it’s included in tuition. That can be a recital, a masterclass, an ensemble concert, and more. Tuition also includes free tickets to community events and concerts. Performing is always encouraged, but it’s never required.

Cancellations

Because we live in Oklahoma and have highly unpredictable weather, we will always work to keep students and parents up to date on any weather-related cancellations. If uncomfortable driving for any weather-related reason, please notify your instructor as soon as possible.

In the case of inclement weather, we typically follow Edmond Public Schools closings, but there may be exceptions. Updates are communicated through text and email. There are no refunds for lessons missed due to inclement weather.

We, as instructors, strive to supply the highest quality of instruction. As such, 14 days of time off for sick leave, vacation, and professional development throughout the year aside from scheduled breaks are factored into the price of tuition. This time is designated to increase our health and quality of our instruction.

Please cancel through your own account at soltanimusic.opus1.io. Lessons canceled with more than 24 hours notice are automatically issued a makeup credit, which you can use to book a makeup within one week of the original lesson date, subject to available lesson times. If nothing that week works, contact the school and we will look at online lessons or another instructor. Lessons canceled within 24 hours, and no-shows, are not rescheduled or refunded. All canceled lessons and breaks are factored into the monthly tuition and will not be refunded.

No refund will be given for partial lesson months.

Parking

There are 4 parking spaces on the west side of the school on N Littler Ave. There are two 10 minute spots in the driveway on the north side of the property, for drop-off and pick-up only. Street parking is available. Parking in the empty lot to the east of the school is prohibited.

Waiting Area & Parental Attendance

We welcome all families and children to enjoy our waiting areas and lobby. Children age seven or under should never be left unattended and should always have a parent present on the property during lessons. Soltani Music School staff and teachers are not responsible for providing before or after class care for students of any age.
