Flute Lessons in Edmond, OK
Flute lessons at our school in Downtown Edmond are for beginners of every age and for band students who want to get ahead. Some of our flute students are just starting in school band. Some are adults coming back after years away. A $20 trial lesson is where we start with everyone.
Lessons are one on one, once a week, in person or online. If you’re renting through school, that instrument is fine to bring. Families are always welcome to sit in.

The first lessons are about getting a clear, steady sound, which on flute is mostly about breath and how the lips shape it. It takes a little patience and it always comes. Once the tone is there we work on fingering, reading, and rhythm inside real pieces.
After that it’s classical repertoire, band music, and songs the student picks. Flute students play in our recitals and ensembles during the year, and every student gets our free practice app with a tuner, a metronome, and a daily plan from their teacher.
